this is a Pygmy Marmoset, otherwise known as the smallest known monkey. They typically weigh in at around 100 grams and are usually about the size of a golf ball.

Ah, the weather is currently the perfect balance of being warm enough for short sleeves, sunny enough to make everything look somehow nicer and unwindy* enough for me to be able to walk around without being intermittently blinded by my own hair which right now behaves like an entirely separate living organism to the rest of me. My cat Boris is also particularly enjoying the sun and has spent the best part of the afternoon rolling around on top of a wheelie bin in the garden like an inelegant, but blissfully happy caterpillar. 

*(surely there is a proper word for that? apologies, my brain has gone away to the coast for the bank holiday weekend and has yet to return)
